About Us

We are video game players and anime enthusiasts from the San Francisco Bay Area. Being extremely passionate about the games we play, we plan to obtain careers in the video game and/or animation industry. Some of us desire to become game designers, others music composers, some producers, journalists and news casters, graphic designers, conceptual artists, and the list goes on and on. Passionate Players is a web show where we review, preview, and give our two cents on video games, techno gadgets, movies, television shows, animations, and comics. Our plan is to use this show as a stepping stone to help break into our dream jobs. Enjoy your stay and inform yourself with the opinions of Passionate Players.

Neal (Iie) Trotter

Video games are my main interests, especially RPGs. The more in depth a game is the more I love it. I've been playing video games since I was six years old, my first game being Super Mario Bros. for the NES. It was Super Mario that got me addicted to games and once I played Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars I was addicted to RPGs. I love RPGs so much because of how they start you off with a weak character and the process of slowly developing that character into a champion. That whole process to me is intoxicating. Once I played through the game, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time I realized that video games can be much more than entertainment. Similar to movies, they are an art form of expression and creativity. Once I played through the game Final Fantasy 7 I decided that I wanted to someday create my own game.I'm also interested in computers, software and hardware. I love computer programming and studying computer architecture. I first started fooling around with computer programs at the age of nine when my mom bought me a toy laptop which included the computer language BASIC.

Nicholas Trotter

I’m basically a Christian guy that’s always different from everyone else. I was born and grew up in the west coast (California) but my personality is more east coast (New York) related. I like all types of things but I have to face the fact that I love playing video games most of the time. I can get pretty addicted to them at times and I guess you can say I’m a hardcore gamer. But I am people friendly and I do have a life most of the time. Other than games I do like other forms of entertainment. I hope to have a career in the mass multimedia department.
